![]() If you are unfamiliar with these shadows, the Super Shock Shadows are a hybrid of powder and cream which has to be felt to be believed! These are long lasting, packed with pigment (I recommend using fingers or a firm synthetic brush) and super soft and creamy (no fallout happens to be a bonus!). As part of today’s post, I will be swatching and reviewing all 14 Super Shock Shadows and next week I will be doing lip swatches and will also be reviewing the Lux Lipsticks and the Lippie Stix, so stay tuned for that!Įach Super Shock Shadow retails for $5 USD, or $25 USD for the “Pretty Fly” set (which contains 6 shadows), and contains 2.1 grams (or 0.07 ounces) of product. This collection contains 3 face duos (which I did not buy unfortunately), 14 Super Shock Shadows (6 being in the “Pretty Fly” set or available for individual purchase), 8 Lux Lipsticks and 6 Lippie Stix (sold individually or as part of the “New Theory” set). What collection am I talking about? The Butterfly collection, of course!Ĭolourpop’s take on a spring collection is of course bursting with colour, from its eyeshadows to its face duos and everything in between, so naturally, I made my biggest order to date! Ordering all the eyeshadows and lip products (both Lippie Stix and Lux Lipsticks), I wanted to review this collection as I know it can be very overwhelming when it comes to Colourpop releases, so hopefully I can at least help make this a little easier for you! With gorgeous shades and gorgeous packaging to match, it’s hard not to cave and buy some (if not all) of the collection. It also lasts me a good 6-8 hours, which is amazing for my skin and a cream product. If you have been on Instagram anytime within the past month, you would have seen one of Colourpop’s biggest collections to date. I just dab a bit of it on with my fingers for a natural bit of colour to the cheeks. It feels very silky to apply and is so pigmented. However as far as cream formulas go, this isn't too dewy at all it's almost like mousse formula that looks quite matte on the skin. Cream blushers can be a bit hit or miss for me, as I do have combination skin so in the worst case scenario they're thin, greasy and shiny on my skin and disappear within a couple of hours. This is a deep peachy-orange shade which is matte-look but has a very slight sheen to it. Super Shock Cheek Satin Blush in Quarters | $8 It does have some flecks of glitter but still has a really natural glowing appearance on the skin. Again it's a cream product, but it doesn't feel greasy at all on my skin. It's a sort of pearly golden-champagne that isn't too golden or too silvery. This is a Becca Opal-eqsue perfect highlighting shade. Super Shock Cheek Pearlised Highlighter in Wisp | $8 ![]() I've been applying this with my Sigma E25* ( post) as it's a little too tricky to use my fingers, even for a soft crease look. Again, the colour payoff is gorgeous and it isn't in the least bit dry or difficult to blend. It's an interesting deep reddish-brown that I've been loving in the crease and the outer v of my eyelid to finish off the coppery eye look. This is billed as a matte shade, though it did still have the slightest hint of sheen. Super Shock Matte Eyeshadow in Bandit | $5 It's still very creamy and pigmented, which is great as I was worried this might be a bit dry. It's a warm medium brown with slightly taupe undertones that I've been loving as a base. ![]() This is a fairly matte-looking eyeshadow with a sheen to it (more so than with the blush). Super Shock Satin Eyeshadow in Desert | $5 ![]() Over the lid, I just apply it using my finger but for a more precise inner-corner highlight I go for the Sigma E45* ( post). I love this as a highlight or a lid shade. It doesn't crease and is amazingly long-lasting. I have to give credit to Umm Baby as I basically just bought all the shades she has and I wasn't disappointed! I love how pigmented this is and the spongy cream formula really is unique. It's got a gorgeous dewy metallic finish and the colour is beautiful. This is the perfect shimmery copper cream eyeshadow. Super Shock Ultra Metallic Eyeshadow in La La | $5 It's not as long-lasting as a more true matte but it's so comfortable to wear and easy to apply that I really don't mind too much! It reminds me a lot of Nars Anna as it's the kind of dusky pink mauve that's more than a nude but less than a colour. This is a gorgeously creamy and non-drying twist-up semi-matte lip crayon. I finally did it! After months of toing and froing: I did a ColourPop order! ColourPop is a pretty new brand and pretty much all of their products are cream. Their range is pretty extensive, especially the eyeshadows there are so many shades! They're very affordable but don't currently ship to the UK, so stay tuned to find out how I got my hands on these bits.
